Just Another Car Passing By

So I walked along a street,
Cold and empty.
I've been here before,
It was deadly.

So long I walked with every footstep,
Dragging my feet.
Seemed like I never wanted to leave,
I could feel the defeat.

It was dark,
Abandoned, desolated, hollow.
I needed to find a shelter,
I needed to find a friend.

Wasted.

So there! There was a light ahead, shone straight to me. I smiled, but,

Don't be surprised,
It was just another car passing by.
It was just another car passing by.
